Before 1944, Stutthof was composed of mainly Pole inmates. Around 1944, Jews were transported from Aushwitz to Stutthof for the Final Solution. Jews were also found hiding in ghettoes, and were trasnferred over to the camp. Between June and October, 20,000-30,000 Jewish women were sent over from Aushwitz. By 1945, there were about 50,000 Stutthof inmates, 29,000 Jewish inmates and 26,000 women. 70% were Jewish, 20% were Russian, and the other 10% was composed of different nationalities. In the end, there were around 120,000 victims (Jews/Non-Jews) and around 85,000 die (Weber, Mark).
